Why do you enjoy photographing weddings?

I'll try to keep this short (I could go on forever) - I absolutely love what I do! Getting to know my clients and their story, seeing them smile from ear to ear (some even happy-cry) when receiving their images, and capturing the 'little moments' that make their day so special is beyond rewarding.

Do you photograph LGBTQ+ weddings?

Unquestionably! Love is love. I fully recognize the unique obstacles that can occur when planning a LGBTQ+ wedding. Should you have trouble finding vendors who make you feel comfortable, I have plenty of connections with other LGBTQ+ vendors in the Madison, WI, area. Your comfort and peace of mind are extremely important to me.

A few key things you should know about booking and working with me.

When should we book you?

ASAP. The worst feeling in the world is finding a wonderful client (like yourself), but being unable to provide them with unforgettable services because I am already booked. Be sure to reach out immediately so we can chat about options and set a time to meet.

Do you offer custom packages?

Yes! At the present moment, I do not offer any 'one-size-fits-all' packages. Instead, I create a custom package tailored to each client's unique needs, ideas, and plans for their wedding. No two weddings are the same!

Travel / destination weddings?

Yes! I am available for booking worldwide.

How do we "lock in" our wedding date? 

To secure your wedding date, we will need to schedule a meeting (to ensure we are a good fit for one another) and discuss your vision. If you don't a vision yet, or haven't finalized it, I'm more than happy to help! You can contact me by clicking the button here:

After our initial meeting, we will sign a contract and go over all of the final details regarding your day. At the time of signing, a retainer in the amount of 50% of the grand total for my services will be due. This will ensure your wedding date is reserved on my calendar; however, the remaining 50% must be paid in full no later than 30 days prior to your wedding date.

What forms of payment do you accept?

I accept all major credit and debit cards (both swipe and chip cards). I also accept Apple Pay.

A glimpse into how and why I work the way I do.

Your approach?

Attention to detail, being prepared (for anything), and making every moment count. My demeanor when photographing clients is reassuring, passionate, and (most importantly) professional. I consider myself a chameleon of sorts; I allow my clients to set the pace with their personality and preferences, and I seamlessly adapt to ensure a perfect fit.

Your style?

My images are styled to be clean, vibrant, and expressive - artfully perfected for both high quality printing and screens. My goal is to create images that are not only beautiful, but also meaningful and memorable.

Editing?

I pride myself on showcasing you as your best self in my work. I spend countless hours ensuring your photos are as amazing as they can be; a vast majority of my editing efforts involve creative enhancements to the lighting and mood / feel of your images. I also take care of small blemishes (pimples, mosquito bites, etc) to ensure you look your best while remaining true to your wonderfully-authentic self.

If you have a specific request regarding the editing of your images, we can discuss it during our initial consultation.

What will you wear to our wedding?

This will depend on how formal your wedding is. Typically, I will wear a suit. I try to blend in as much as possible to avoid being a distraction during the day. If you have a preference for my attire (for religious or cultural reasons), simply let me know and I will do my best to accommodate your request.

I plan for every possible scenario - and then a few 'impossible' ones for safe measure.

Do you have backup equipment?

I have several sets of backup equipment; even if I fall down a mountain, loose my luggage, and your good 'ol aunt Karen spills her whiskey sour all over my camera gear (wow, what a day) - I'll still be ready to go!

Are you insured?

Yes!

Archiving / backup of our images?

I photograph weddings with no less than 2 cameras at a time. I have 2 separate memory cards within each camera (for a total of 4 actively used memory cards) that contain your photos, should one of them fail for any reason (it has never happened, but I like to be prepared). Once the day is over, I backup your images to 3 separate locations.

Once your final images are finished, I will deliver them to you electronically. I also backup those finalized files to 3 separate locations, just in case your computer crashes or you loose the files.

I once heard a story from a friend who hired an amateur photographer for their event; they didn't backup the images whatsoever, and the single memory card they used was somehow corrupted. The clients lost everything, and the photographer couldn't retrieve the files. Talk about terrifying; just one of the many reasons I backup everything!
